About the Event
Deep within our core is an infinite well of stillness. It is from that place we are able to create and manifest our lives.
From that space, the horses would like you to join them on a weekend of personal exploration and inner discovery.
Through the vehicle of meditation, the horses invite you to fully rest into your body, become one with the source of love and enjoy a timeless existence.
Working with a series of structured exercises, theory and open and closed-eye meditation practice, the horses invite you to find your unbounded inner essence and authentic-self so you can enjoy a life that is limitless and engaging.
In this 2-day non-residential retreat you will:
- Experience the present moment
- Understand the difference between experiencing life and thinking about life
- Reconnect to the earth
- Find stillness
- Learn useful tools to ground yourself and stay grounded
- Let go of worry and overthinking
- Rest body and mind
- Learn a simple and easy meditation practice
- Make new friends and connections
- Learn to live in conscious awareness
- Take time out for yourself
Led by two experienced meditation teachers and Reiki Masters - Becci Godfrey and Josie Truelove and three fabulous ponies - Jim, Dainty and Squirrel, the horses will demonstrate what it means to fully inhabit your body, live life from a place of authenticity and enjoy harmony and balance, so you can too.
This event will run 10am - 5pm Saturday and 10am - 4pm Sunday. The ticket fee includes lunch and light refreshments.
Places are limited to allow for an intimate experience and to enjoy a favourable horse to human ratio.
This is a non-residential retreat to allow people to travel from home, or book accommodation to meet individual tastes and budgets.
Why horses?
Horses are the masters of present moment existence. Highly attuned animals with a strong sense of calm, horses live only in the moment and have no concept of the past or future. By spending time with such attuned beings, we too are able to slow down, catch our breath and come back to now, to live in harmony with the world around us. Spending time with horses allows us to co-regulate with a heart-centred being as they help us to let go of overthinking and become more still.
"Thank you so much for yesterday. I have learned so much from being with you and Dainty and Squirrel and it has been a wonderful experience. I am so grateful to you. It was a magical moment when the horses joined the meditation! They must have wanted to be close to us. So lovely!"

About the HorseSense UK horses
Jim, Dainty and Squirrel are three cheeky ponies originally from the New Forest, Hampshire. Each of them have been helping humans for many years through one to one and group experiences. Familiar with experienced horse people and those with no knowledge of horses at all, their role in life is to help others to wake up and realise their magnificence, a role that they do very expertly.
About the venue
This 2-day retreat is taking place on a farm in Mark Cross, in the heart of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. One of the last parts of the UK to be adapted for farming, the High Weald still retains many of it's medieval features such as wildflower meadows, small fields and ancient woodland. Enjoy the sound of birdsong, the quietness of being in nature and the health-generating experience of being around trees and woodland as you take time to immerse yourself in the beauty around you.
